JUNE TRIALS WEEKEND
JUNE 7th & 8th.

Saturdays brilliant sunshine saw ninety riders of all ages sign on to either train or ride in the afternoon fun trial.

Ten sections, some with harder deviations, gave all concerned a very enjoyable afternoons sport.

Sundays British Bike Trial attracted a good entry of 54 and included the Cotton / Greeves Challenge . Once again the Greeves boys won the day in both the Clubman and Expert competitions.

Sections 4 and 10, both in woods with twisting climbs and roots, took a fair share of marks as did the muddy rock gullies of sections 7 and 8, it was their performances here that really put Peter Hampton and Tony Sullivan in a class of their own in the Expert competition.

The Clubmans route saw another Greeves rider, Arthur Tomlinson taking the win with Phil Marsh, A.J.S. close behind with one of the three sections in the stream plotting Phils downfall. .
